The Story

Season 1 & 2:

After returning to San Francisco Phoebe is reunited with her two sisters Piper and Prue. Prue the eldest sister was in the dark about Phoebe’s arrival from New York. The two never got on,
Prue always gave Phoebe a hard time about being carefree and having no “vision of the future”, Phoebe knew the real reason was that Prue thought she had a thing for Prue’s boyfriend Roger. Prue returned to her room while Phoebe and Piper (the middle sister) were sing the spirit board they’re mother had giving to them just before she died. The spirit board moves to letter “A”, Phoebe in Shock calls for her sisters who don’t believe her, until Piper saw it for her own eyes. “ATTIC” It spells out. Without her other two sisters Phoebe travels to the attic to find a door that will not open. She begins to walk away and the door opens. Inside it is dark with a little light from the street outside. In front of her lay an old trunk with beams of light shining on it. Inside this trunk is an old dusty book, Phoebe takes her time to study and open the book. Inside is an incantation, she reads it aloud. ”Hear now the words of the witches, the secrets we hid in the night, the oldest of gods are invoked here, the great work or magic is sought. In this night and in this hour I call upon the ancient power, Bring your powers to we sisters three. We want the power, Give us the power.” From that moment on their lives have never been the same, Prue with the power of Telekinesis, Piper has the power of Temporal Stasis (to freeze people) and Phoebe has the power of Premonition. They become known as “The Charmed Ones” the most powerful good witches of all time, Keeping San Francisco free of evil by using their powers to kill demons and save innocent beings.

A year has gone by and they are no longer new to the craft, during the way they have learnt many things. The sisters have grown so much closer in the past year and have had some huge life changes, discovering the death of their mother and learning they should never use their powers for personal gain. Prue struggles to come to terms with Andy's death, and also inherits a new power of Astral Projection, Prue also quits her job at Bucklands and takes up her dream in photography, she starts to work at "415" magazine. Piper stops her relationship with Leo because of difficulties and starts dating new neighbour Dan Gordon but later on in the series stops her relationship with him and starts back up in a relationship with whitelighter Leo, she also quits her job at Quake because of all the pressure they put on her, and her sisters help her pay for a club of her own named “P3”. Phoebe decides to take control of her life and returns to school to finish where she ended.

Season Three:

Starts off with a bad start, after Piper went off with Leo “up there” to visit the elders, they made it forbidden for them to see each other. But after some good deeds made by Piper the elders
agreed that they could get married. They made decisions to move out of the manor, but then reconsidered and Piper stayed with her sisters. Phoebe falls for the new ADA Cole Turner, who is a very powerful demon named Belthazor, which the sisters later learn and try to vanquish him. But Phoebe and Cole’s love for each other, is too strong and they end up staying together. Phoebe and Piper both gain new powers of Levitation and Molecular Combustion (the power to blow things up) The season tragically ends with the death of eldest sister Prue.

Season 4:

After the death of Prue the sisters are devastated and the future of the charmed ones is unknown, is it now broken? Piper searches through the book of shadows to find a way to change the death of her beloved sister, She try’s a spell to “call a lost witch”. The unthinkable happens, a lost sister named Paige is found. Patti had an affair with her whitelighter Sam, a baby was born but hidden for years, she was scared that if the elders knew then her daughters would not receive their powers. But Piper, Phoebe and Paige are reunited at Prue’s funeral, now the power of three goes on. The season is very different, Piper and Phoebe teach Paige about being a witch, which at first she finds hard and boring but soon gets the hang of it. This is a big season for Phoebe and Cole, who eventually get married but it isn’t all good. Cole turn’s into “The source of all evil” and turns to the dark side, dragging Phoebe with him. Phoebe eventually comes to her senses and returns to the power of three, where she no longer wants anything to do with husband Cole. Paige is doing great at her job as a social worker at South Bay Social Services, Phoebe also has a new job, she writes an advice column for a well known magazine “The Bay Mirror”. The season finale ends with an unexpected episode, where the angel of destiny give the charmed ones the choice of giving up their powers and living normal lives or carrying on fighting evil and saving the world, they decide to keep their powers and stay as witches. We also find out that Piper is pregnant.

Season 5:

Having reaffirmed their commitment to saving innocents, the Halliwell's are determined to balance witchcraft and their ever-evolving personal lives. Phoebe, who has became a local celebrity with her advice column, will officially spite from Cole.
Paige continues to help the victimised as she struggles to establish her place in the Halliwell home. Even Piper, who was happily married to the girls' own Whitelighter, Leo, and is the first Halliwell sister to become a mother, finds herself available again now that Leo has moved on to his new calling as the leader of the Council of Elders
